Wishing a Happy New Year

It's a tradition...
We always say "Happy New Year" to family and friends...even to people we don't know and occasionally meet in a store or ride their cab in a big city.
We say that really wishing them and ourselves a Happy New Year.
I believe it's a sincere feeling that we have. We all want and say that, every December 31st.

But...
Wishing is not the thing to do.
Wishing does not take us anywhere.
Wishing alone will not make the new year any happier than the previous ones.
The truth of the matter is... wishing will not do us any good, unless we take action.

Just wishing, on the contrary, can make us experience a miserable year, without any accomplishments and nothing done!

We ought to make the things that will lead us to a happy year. And that will depend on us. Only.
We have to take responsibility for our life and know that we need to be in charge of what we are in charge of.

That's why I say it's up to us to have all the goodies we keep whishing.
It's up to us to make the right decisions to be happy.
To be happy or not depends on our reactions to things, people, circumstances, feelings, words and so on.
It depends on our obedience to the Word of God, for He says "If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land" in Isaiah 1:19.

It's up to us because nothing will run into us if we don't do our part.
There may be Favor, that is true, but while we can pray and expect Favor from God, we have to get up and do our share. We have to be totally responsible with the things God has given us to care for and do. We have to deserve His Favor, to diligently earn it. God will not promote us if we don't work unrelentingly towards  our goals and desires, doing what is right, according to His principles and His standards.

When we have done our part, when we have relentlessly obeyed the Word of God and the whispers of the Holy Spirit, then we can wish and hope and more... we can be sure we will have a Happy New Year.

That's what God wants us to have...the best of the land, the desires of our heart, according to
Psalm 37:4, because He is a Good God! He really wants us to have a Happy New Year,
and He is willing to give us all that we want, because He loves us and has great thing in store for us, much more than we can think, imagine or ask for.

Are you ready to do your part?
